What a great place to stay! I was fortunate to be the second client renting this property and I couldn’t have been happier. Very clean, private and cozy. Nice base to use for local short trips or a day-long adventure to Sleeping Bear Dunes and the surrounding towns. This is a can’t go wrong rental and I hope to return soon!

We thouroghly enjoyed our stay here. It was an amazing location and a great house for our family. The inside was clean and tidy with plenty of towels and linens. The yard was big, with a great fire pit. We will definitely be back. Amy Kern

​Our stay at ‘Emanuel’ was an absolute dream and a perfect retreat from our everyday lives. From the moment we arrived, our hosts, Char and Duck, made us feel like part of their extended family. Their warmth, helpfulness, and accommodating nature were truly exceptional. ​The apartment itself is a lovely, comfortable, and cozy haven. We were so impressed by the thoughtful touches, from the charming decorations to the nice candies that welcomed us. It was the perfect base for our adventures. ​The location is ideal for anyone looking to explore the breathtaking beauty of the region. We had the freedom to bike and were just a short distance from Empire, the fabulous M-22 scenic byway, and the magnificent trails, beaches, and dunes of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. ​A special and heartfelt thank you goes to their daughter, Gayle. She was incredibly gracious and giving with her time, watching over our two Australian Shepherds, Oakley and Rocky, who can be a handful! She walked them on the beautiful, nearly 5-acre property, which gave us such peace of mind to explore. ​We are so grateful to Char, Duck, and Gayle for sharing their incredible home and property with us. It was more than just a place to stay; it was a home away from home where we felt genuinely cared for. We cannot recommend this wonderful retreat highly enough!

We had an incredible stay at Lorlee, and it truly exceeded all of our expectations. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a special place designed for making memories. Kristin, the property manager, was outstanding. She was always available, responded immediately, and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed, including coordinating our pontoon boat rental and docking on Dewey Lake. That level of attentiveness made the entire experience stress-free. The home itself is stunning. The kitchen is enormous and incredibly well stocked, allowing us to cook an elegant meal for our entire group. The layout made it easy for everyone to gather, relax, and still have space. We loved spending our evenings around the firepit, and the disc golf course set up around the property kept us all entertained day and night. It was such a fun, unique touch that everyone enjoyed. The lake access, dock, and private beach area made days on the water effortless. On top of all that, the locals in town were so friendly and welcoming. It really added to the charm of the whole trip. This place is perfect for large groups, families, or anyone looking for a luxurious, fun, and relaxing lakefront getaway. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it without hesitation.

We loved the house! The location and views were great. The firepit and kayaks were really a bonus. We will definitely consider rebooking next year!!

We booked this place for a 30th birthday/girls weekend and it was great! So much space to fit our group! We filled every bedroom and still had more then enough space. It was very clean and had plenty of mirrors for all the girls to get ready. I find airbnbs often don’t have a lot of mirrors and with a big group of girls that was very nice! We will be back for sure! We had so much fun we even talked about doing it once a year.

This was our 3rd stay House was very clean. -Pillows need cleaning/should have pillow protectors that are washed with some regularity -needs some outside maintenance back step rotting -ants inside mentioned to manager. Under tub has missing caulking. That seemed to be one point of entry -kitchen well appointed. Could use some small light weight snack /prep bowls

We had an excellent time and the house was amazing! Everything you can imagine was in the kitchen… unbelievable!! The house was extremely well maintained and our entire family thoroughly enjoyed themselves for the week Thank you!
