The Brown Bear at Twin Birch Resort

The Brown Bear is a nice 2 bedroom cabin. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need – including a dishwasher. The resort is only a 10 minute drive to the Lake Michigan beach at the end of the Platte River – which I highly recommend (part of Sleeping Bear Dunes NP). We used the (provided) kayak & rowboat on Little Platte lake which is a lovely lake.

This is the 2nd time we’ve stayed at Life Aquatic and everything was great once again. As pet owners we like that the yard is completely fenced with a gate at the end of the driveway. We did get to see some beautiful fall colors until the rain came. We may be back again for another vacation in the Alpena area.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Green Lake Getaway and it was a fantastic experience. The property was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay.
