Agape Vacation Rentals is built on a foundation of Christian values and professional excellence.
Agape Vacation Rentals was started by Eric Richard Haan. Eric grew up in suburban Lansing, Michigan, where he enjoyed exploring Michigan on family vacations while growing up. Eric graduated from Haslett High School (in suburban Lansing) in 1986 and then graduated from The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) in 1992 with a B.S. (cum laude) in Industrial and Operations Engineering. Eric then spent 20 years in the corporate world with General Motors, Production Modeling Corporation, and Whirlpool Corporation.
Eric then started owning and managing vacation rental properties under Agape Vacation Rentals in 2013. Since then, the company has grown steadily to where the company now manage over 80 properties across Michigan and Missouri. We also now have an exceptional property management team with a number of highly-talented Senior Property Managers in place across all of Michigan to locally manage the physical care and cleaning of properties and to make certain that our guests are fully satisfied. We also have a great team of housecleaning personnel in place across the state, many of whom have been with the company for years.
Eric’s wife, Karla Haan, and their 2 sons, Pablo and Paco, are now also actively involved in running the company. The family lives in Benzonia, Michigan year-round and is actively involved with Fresh Wind Christian Community and New Covenant Christian Academy.
What began as a small side business managing a few properties for family and friends has evolved into a large full-service vacation rental management company with a proven track record of success. Our growth has been largely organic, built on referrals and our reputation for exceptional service for both our guests as well as property owners.
