Peaceful
This cottage is a great property and very accessible from the main town. Respite abounds here complete with amazing sunrise skies and tranquil starry nights. The local property manager was excellent. A return reservation is planned.

I posted our review on Google but didn't add these things we noticed. Just an FYI and not a complaint. The stopper/drain in upper stairs bath sink does not work properly. The cold water in downstairs bath faucet leaks.
Cottage is very cute. Dock is a little wonky but it is a nice lake. Bring chairs to sit in outdoors. Bring drinking water because the water tastes and smells like sulphur. Take a good shower before you come because the water smells like sulphur...to the point where you gag. And it doesn't feel like you're clean after you take a shower. Other than that, the beds were comfy (although no door or curtain even on one of the bedrooms) and there were a lot of nice touches throughout the cottage that made it a pleasant stay. Also if you plan to watch any tv bring your Roku stick or whatever streaming service you have because the cable is very limited. Every channel we turned to at night when we wanted to watch before we went to bed said it was "unavailable" with their subscription. There IS an HDMI port on the TV to put your Roku, Fire TV, etc into if you so choose. Would rent again even knowing these things. Just be prepared is all!
Loved it!
Cabin was nice!
Your home had nice accommodations, comfortable beds, and a very quiet/peaceful stay. The CO2 sensor went bad during the stay and had to have the batteries removed (replacement batteries did not work as the device was at end of life). The main floor toilet had an internal seal that was in need of replacement and had to be manually reset on occasion as it would not stop running. This really should be repaired prior to the next rental. Other than these two issues, it was a very nice home with sufficient support material to it quite enjoyable.
The Loon was a beautiful place to stay for our weekend. Great accommodation and wonderful atmosphere. You will love a stay at the Loon! Thank you!
We have stayed at Twin Birch for many years in all the cabins and it is the most peaceful, quite, beautiful place. It is heaven! We love it here and we will always come back.
Loved this place — well equipped, spacious, and in a great location. We’d love to go back!
Very happy with our stay
Place was great was clean has everything there that you will need
Everything during our stay was as expected. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, and it was a good experience.
My family and I had a great time staying at this cabin. Brown Bear is just a 2 minute walk through the woods to get to the lake, though it was helpful that my buddies staying in the Red and Green Laker that were right on Lake Little Platte. only issue was that quite a few ants appeared on day 3-4, Kelly had said the cabins had been treated before, and left perimeter spray and traps for me to use. Other than that the cabins were comfortable, and had everything we needed, like kitchen equipment. Even had a blender! Will likely book here again.
We loved everything about this house! It was very clean and cute and the check in process was very easy. There is also a view of the lake and you can walk down to it (lots of stairs but it was fine for us). Highly recommend!
Perfect for what we needed. Everything was clean and the hosts were accommodating.
GREAT LOCATION!! Needs new bed pillows and a fan or two downstairs.

If I could rate this higher I would! Fantastic property- the space was amazing and just as described- if not better! Beautiful deck off of the kitchen with scenic views of Betsie Lake- wonderful to enjoy morning coffee and/or an evening glass of wine! Kayaks are provided, along with life jackets, which was awesome- we enjoyed several morning and evening kayaking trips- taking in so much nature - including multiple sightings of an adorable deer family! Communication was terrific - Jean was great to work with! So many amenities- from a fully appointed kitchen to numerous games! We can’t wait to come back- one of our best vacations ever!
this was our 2nd year here, and we will definitely come back, Lord willing. Very nice, spacious and good remodeling in key areas. Couple small items need attention: the rugs in the bathrooms need to be non-skid. First floor shower - the curtains were set too high and we had water running all over the floor. Love the veranda!
very peaceful setting surrounded by nature
We stayed here for 3 nights in late July and it was amazing. We will certainly be back again. We loved how cozy the house was and feeling like we were truly staying at a family's lake house, instead of a cookie-cutter rental house. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook in every night to enjoy the stunning views from the porch. It was also very carefully thought out to accommodate our Labrador retriever; the outdoor hose to clean her off, the vacuum for in the house, and porch with the gates were super convenient.
The beach access was great and the sunsets were beautiful. Never got tired of sitting on the porch in the evening.
