First and foremost, the home has a natural gas forced air furnace to keep it cozy in the winter and it also has central air conditioning to keep it cool in the summer.
The main level welcomes you with an open-concept kitchen and living room flooded with natural light, seamlessly connecting you to stunning, panoramic lake views. Step out onto the expansive walk-out deck directly from the living room or the primary bedroom—it is the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or watch the sunset over the quiet water. Two comfortable, beautifully appointed main-floor bedrooms offer a restful night's sleep after a day out on the lake.
Head downstairs to discover the ultimate recreation area. Mix drinks at the well-appointed wet bar or cozy up on the sectional sofas on cooler Michigan evenings. This entertaining space walks out directly into a protected, enclosed porch and a covered patio, giving you year-round outdoor access just steps from the water’s edge. Notes
PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
1) NO SMOKING! Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the house, but guests are welcome to smoke outside. If smoking, please make certain to pick up cigarette butts.
2) FIREWORKS: Fireworks are only allowed on the 4th of July. They are strictly prohibited at all other times.
3) BURN RESTRICTIONS: Please comply with any burn or fire restrictions that may be in place in the area. Current restrictions can be found of the Michigan DNR (Department of Natural Resources) website.
4) THE LOON: As of May, 2026, there is a loon that has her nest out approx. 30 feet from shore in back of the house. IT IS ILLEGAL IN MICHIGAN TO DISTURB THE LOON, DAMAGE THE NEST, OR DO ANYTHING WITH THE LOON EGGS! Please enjoy the loon from a distance, but do not bother her at all. Please be extra careful of the nest when boating or swimming.
5) STAIRS: Please note that the stairs down to the lower level are steep and uneven. They may be difficult for elderly individuals or for small children.
6) EXTERIOR CAMERA: Please note that there is an outdoor security camera at the property. There are no indoor cameras though.
7) CHRISTIAN ARTWORK: Please note that there is some Christian artwork at the property.
8) PET POLICY: Up to 2 dogs are permitted at the property. If bringing 1 or 2 dogs, please make certain that they are included on the reservation and that the pet fee is appropriately paid. Please also make certain to dispose of any dog waste. More than 3 dogs is strictly prohibited and any pets other than dogs are also strictly prohibited.
9) AIR CONDITIONING: Please note that the home does have central air conditioning to keep it nice and cool in the summer.
10) NUMBER OF GUESTS: Please note that our pricing is based upon the number of guests, with pricing being higher with each additional guest that is included on the reservation after the first 2 guests. Please make certain that the correct number of guests is specified on the reservation so that the pricing is correct.
11) EARLY CHECK-IN: Our policy is to allow early check-in on the day of arrival if the property is available for check-in. We will not know until the day before arrival whether or not the property will be available for early check-in or not. You can check with our local property manager the day before arrival or on your arrival day to see if the property will be available for early check-in or not.
12) LATE CHECK-OUT: We maintain a very strict and structured cleaning schedule. As such, late check-outs are strictly prohibited.
13) DETACHED GARAGE: Please note that the detached garage is not available for guest usage.
14) AGE REQUIREMENT: All guests must be at least 21 years old or else accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
15) MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Maximum occupancy is limited to 8 people (including both adults and children).
Neighborhood
THE NEIGHBORHOOD:
The neighborhood consists mostly of recreational second homes along the 8 inland lakes that are all close together in the area. It is a rather laid-back, easy-going, quiet, peaceful, and relaxing area.
Outside of the immediate neighborhood, National City is located in Iosco County just inland from Tawas Bay. It is a peaceful, nature-rich destination in Northern Michigan. It is an ideal escape for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a tranquil environment near the Huron National Forest, the Shore to Shore Trail, and the local inland lakes. There is not a whole lot in the town itself, but there are a couple of restaurants in town.
